What is Niche Blogging?

Niche blogging is taking a general topic and narrowing it down and creating a blog on a very specific topic or “niche”.  For example “Baking Recipes” is a very general topic with a lot of searches and competition monthly. However “homemade cookie recipes” is a very specific niche. Having a blog dedicated to a topic so specific means you will have a small targeted audience which is only looking for one thing. In addition you will have less competition with niche blogs, being so specific means your website will be able to corner the market by offering visitors everything they want to know about that niche.

By researching appropriate keywords, SEO and finding relevant affiliates for your niche you can make a decent income from just one niche blog. I have numerous personal niche blogs for myself and I just recently started making blogs for the public. Niche blogs earn money off of affiliates on your blog. Companies will pay you to advertise for them on your blog and in return you receive a commission. Niche Bloggers don’t necessairily make money off just one blog, although it isn’t unheard of.
