How to change which Categories appear on your blog homepage.

This tutorial is to show you how to change the above categories (Click to Enlarge) if you have multiple categories you want to use. This blog only has 4 categories which you will notice in the sidebar. (About Detox Diet, Detox Diet Plans, Detox Diet Products and Tips and Recommendations) Lets say you wanted to replace the category on your homepage “About Detox Diet” to “Detox Diet Products” . Here are the steps you would take.
1. From you WP Dashboard select “Posts” a drop down will appear underneath it and you will select “Categories“
2. Select the category you want to appear on your homepage. In this case we would select ”Detox Diet Products”
3. You will be looking for the Category ID which will appear in your browser address bar. For “Detox Diet Products” ours is 24. Write this down on a piece of paper, you will need it later.
4. Go back to your WP Dashboard and Select “Appearance” the when the menu drops down select “Editor”
5. Then on your far right you will click on “home.php“
6. Scroll down until you see the code below. The screenshot below shows you how to change the category name, The category number, how many posts you want to show and how to save.
7. If you scroll down further on home.php you will see identical coding for both the right category column and bottom category column. You can change these as well by following the same instructions above.
8. You may notice once you have changed this on your homepage you will see an icon like the one below. This is because we have not assigned a picture to that post yet. I will be making a tutorial for this in the next few days!
How to set up your Dynadot Name Servers

Once you have set up your account at www.dynadot.com. You will want to do the following to set your nameservers.
- Select the “Summary” tab if you are not already on it.
- Underneath “Domain Summary” choose whichever domain type your blog is (.com, .net, .org)
- Find your domain name in the list and check the box next to it.
- Choose the button above the domain name list that says “Set name servers”
- Type in the following servers:
- ns857.websitewelcome.com
- ns858.websitewelcome.com
- Click the button that says “Enter name servers” and you are finished!
This is all you need to do to change the name servers to our host. Sometimes after changing name servers the domain will need 24 hours to propagate and your website may have appeared that it went down. Do not worry, it will be back up once the process is finished!
